The Brecon Beacons has a beautiful selection of gardens open to the public under the National Garden Scheme
Frankly you are spoilt for choice but one of my favourites is the Glanusk Estate. Probably better known for its royal connections and the famous Green Man Festival held in August, these private gardens can only been seen once a year. There are avenues of Rhododendrons and Azaleas surrounding the series of ponds fed by a natural stream. When I visited last year the water was simply alive with tadpoles. This year’s event is being held on Sunday 20th May 2018 and I would seriously recommend a visit.
