The Hours Cafe Bookshop

There is a wonky green shop on Ship Street housing  The Hours Cafe Brecon, one of the oldest streets in Brecon. The Grade II building is very old but the interior is comfortable and welcoming.

Starting out as a bookshop there is now a cafe and a recently added Deli in the shop next door. Also painted in the distinctive Green.

The Cafe

They prepare all the food in a tiny kitchen using all the best local ingredients. Start the day with a hearty Brychan’s Stack using local butcher Paddy Sweeney products. Lunchtime offers include homemade soups, salads and warm sandwiches. You could just have a coffee with WI scone or cake from a good selection.

You can book the whole building for a special occasion or meeting including catering.

The Book Shop

Not your traditional book shop there are approximately 1,000 books of all genre dotted around the Tudor building. Upstairs there is a comfy reading area complete with papers and free WIFi. The shop is named after the working title for Mrs Dalloway.
