Aberyscir Coach House Terms & Conditions

Booking and Payment: Provisional bookings can be made with our online form, by email or by phone. Please see our Booking page for details.

A cleared deposit of 25% is required by bank transfer (preferred method) , credit card or  personal cheque to make a confirmed booking.The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. Payment in full is required for all bookings within 8 weeks of arrival. Payment can be made by bank transfer (preferred method) , credit card or personal cheque (details provided on request).

At the time of booking the following information will be required to complete my registration form regardless of the booking platform used.

Name and address of all guests. Lead booker e-mail address and contact telephone number.

Cancellation: If you cancel your booking up to 8 weeks before arrival the deposit will be refunded less a £35 administration charge if we are able to re-let the property. If you cancel the booking within 8 weeks of the arrival date the booking value, or rebooking value if less, will only be repaid, minus a £35 admin charge if we are able to re-let the property. We therefore strongly advise obtaining comprehensive insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation. All refunds will be repaid by BACS unless you prefer it be refunded to the card you paid with. If we cancel a confirmed booking, our liability, is limited to the return of all payments received.

Internet Mobile reception and TV: WiFi is provided in the Coach House but we cannot guarantee the service for circumstances outside of our control. The mobile signal is improving but getting a signal depends on the provider you use. Use of the land line telephone in our house is possible if required. The freeview satellite TV signal can also be affected by our rural location.

Occupancy: The property is designed for 2 adults but a small baby is welcome provided you bring the necessary cot etc. No pets. Each booking should be in the name of one person who will be responsible for the actions of all members of their party.

Smoking: We operate a strictly non- smoking policy, including e cigarettes within the building. Smoking outside away from the buildings is allowed with safe disposal of ash and butts.

Candles and other naked flames: The burning of candles, tealights and any other naked flame is strictly prohibited within the property. Only proper use of the log burner lit with the lighter or matches provided. The log burner door must remain closed during use as it is not designed as an open fronted fire.

Breakages: Any breakages beyond reasonable wear and tear will be charged at the cost to replace. Please notify us immediately so that we can rectify the situation without delay.

Problems with the property: Any problems with the property must be notified to us immediately in order to give us time to rectify. In these cases access to the property will be required.

Washing and Drying clothes: Available in the main house and charged at £5 per load.

Electrical Items: Guests are asked not to bring their own electrical items other than small personal items like phone charges or hair dryer. If in doubt please ask me.

Electric Cars: We have a 7kW Zappi Untethered EV Charger available for you to charge your electric vehicle with your own cable. It is charged at 35p per kW during the day and 10p per kW during the night, payable in cash or bank transfer during you stay. In addition there are public charging points in the Morrisons car park.

Cleaning: Please leave the property in a clean and tidy state. We reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning which we consider to be outside the norm.

Longer Stays: For stays of 14 days or more a linen and towel change will be done every 7 days along with an optional clean.

Arrival and Departure: Arrival time is from 4pm and departure no later than 10am in order to prepare for our next guests. Please enquire if you require an earlier arrival or later departure.

Losses: We cannot accept liability for any loss damage or expense of any kind sustained by a member of your holiday group in connection with Aberyscir Coach House, whatever the cause might be, including negligence, except where such loss, damage, or additional expense is the result of proven negligence of ourselves.

Data Protection Act: Personal details obtained during the booking process are stored on our computer. We will endeavour to keep this information secure and will never share it with a third party. We will not contact you with offers and information in the future without your explicit agreement. More information can be found on the privacy policy.

Force Majeure: We cannot accept liability or responsibility for any alterations, delay or cancellation or any other loss or damage caused by war, civil strife, terrorist action, industrial disputes, fire, sickness, bad weather, livestock, epidemics, pandemics, acts of any government, or public authority, changes imposed by re-scheduling of airlines, ferries or any event outside our control.

Reviews: Our Consumer reviews policy is set out below.

Variation: We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms or conditions without notice.

 

Consumer Reviews Policy

  1. Definitions

1.1 The following defined terms apply to this Consumer Reviews Policy:

Agent (we, us, our)          Aberyscir Coach House

Bookings                            a consumer’s reservation of the property.

OTAs                                  Online Travel Agencies used by the Agent.

Owner                                the property owner who is deemed a trader under consumer rights legislation.

Property                             the property provided by the agency on behalf of the owner for the booking.

Reviewer (you, your)       the consumer leaving, or considering leaving, a review.

Service                               the agency service provided by the agency.

Third Party Review          any third-party platform used by the agent (or owner) to obtain

Platform                             manager or present consumer reviews and review information.

  1. Who can submit a review
    • 1 We welcome reviews about your experience with us and your stay at the Property, directly and via Third Party Review Platforms.
    • 2 For more information about leaving reviews, please see the How to leave a review section.
    • 3 We also welcome reviews about your experience by submitting a review via Third Party Review Platforms.
    • 4 You can leave a review about a recent experience with us even if you haven’t made a Booking. You can review the Service provided by us (for example, you can review how we handled your enquiry).
    • 5 You must be over 18 to leave a review.
  2. We do not incentivise reviews
    • 1 We do not offer any incentives for reviews (whether positive or negative).
  3. How to leave a review
    • 1 To leave a review with us directly about your stay at the Property in our visitor book.
    • 2 We also use Third-Party Review Platforms to collect reviews about the Service. Information about the Third-Party Review Platforms we use, including links to guidance produced by the Third-Party Review Platforms on submitting reviews can be found at the end of this policy.
    • 3 Links to our Third-Party Review Platforms are either:
      • 3.1 sent automatically via email to consumers who make a Booking;
      • 3.2 accessible via the Website; and/or
      • 3.3 provided directly by the Third-Party Review Platform.
    • 4 If you booked your stay via an OTA, the OTA may request your feedback directly. The OTA’s review collection process and policies will apply. Links to guidance produced by the OTAs we use on submitting reviews can be found at the end of this policy.
    • 5 You can also leave feedback via publicly available websites such as social media channels and Google public review function.
  4. Review Standards
    • 1 Your review must:
      • 1.1 Reflect your genuine experience (both positives and negatives).
      • 1.2 Not be incentivised in any way.
      • 1.3 Not relate to a product or service you are connected with (for example, because you (or someone in your family) has a financial interest in or works for the business that provides it).
      • 1.4 Not manipulate ratings (for example, you cannot submit multiple reviews for the same product or service).
  1. Where and how we display reviews
    • 1 We publish a selection of reviews that comply with our Review Standards (whether positive or negative).
    • 2 Reviews for our Service or Properties made via Third Party Review Platforms or directly with OTAs may appear on the Third-Party Review Platforms/OTAs website. Our website also links to reviews made on some Third-Party Review Platforms and OTA sites.
  2. We may use your review in our marketing
    • 1 We may include all (or a representative part) of your review in our marketing material in any media (for example, on our website, in a brochure or in advertising). Your identity will not be revealed.
  3. Please report suspicious reviews
    • 1 All reviews must comply with clause 5: Review Standards.
    • 2 If you think any review is fake or otherwise does not comply with clause 5, please report to us via the contact details on our website.
    • 3 If you think any review submitted to a Third-Party Review Platform is fake or otherwise does not comply with clause 5, please report to the Third-Party Review Platform via the Third-Party Review Platform website. Please see the end of this policy for useful links.
  4. How we investigate and deal with suspicious reviews
    • 1 If our own monitoring or a report from you or someone else suggests that a direct review does not comply with the Review Standards, we will promptly investigate.
    • 2 Our investigation shall commence on notification (clause 9.1) and we will use reasonable endeavours to complete the investigation within a few weeks. Investigations shall be conducted by myself.
    • 3 We may:
      • 3.1 immediately remove it (or not publish it, where it has been detected before publication). We will do this where we are certain it is non-compliant.
      • 3.2 investigate it further (which may involve contacting the reviewer for evidence that it is compliant) and flag it as a possibly fake review until our investigation is complete or remove the possibly fake review until our investigation is complete. If we then determine the review is non-compliant, we will permanently remove it.
    • 4 If we identify one review as non-compliant, we may remove all reviews submitted by the same reviewer and refuse to publish any further reviews from the same reviewer.
    • 5 If we remove a review or are investigating it, we will not include that review in any aggregated review score.
    • 6 If you disagree with our decision as to whether a review is compliant, you can contact us via the contact details on our website. We will deal with the issue you raise in accordance with our customer complaints procedure.
    • 7 Where we host reviews regarding the products or services of other traders (e.g., reviews about the Owner and/or the Owner’s Property) and, on assessment, deem the trader responsible for the banned reviews, we may take the following additional steps if we deem necessary on an assessment of the facts:
      • 7.1 notify consumers that the trader has benefited from banned reviews by putting a clear notice on the website;
      • 7.2 terminate the commercial relationship with the trader; and/or
      • 7.3 notify the CMA of the trader’s breaches of the banned practices.
    • 8 For information on how the Third-Party Review Platforms sanctions people who submit fake reviews, please see the Third-Party Review Platform’s website.
    • 9 If a review is removed from a Third-Party Review Platform or otherwise does not comply with our Review Standards, we will remove it from our website.
