The Three Horseshoes
The Three Horseshoes Groesfford has always been one of my favourite places to eat in the Brecon Beacons.
From the outside you might wonder what it will be like. However the inside has been carefully renovated over the years to produce a light airy restaurant with comfortable tables and chairs. The bar area retains its pub atmosphere with bar stools, tables and a cosy log burner.
There is a large beer garden that stetches behind the houses. There are even beach huts that can seat 8, with a table, heater and lighting that can be booked out for al fresco dining with beautiful views.
The range of craft ales and ciders is good and always changing. Ashley is happy to offer a taster!
The Menu
The food is gastro pub style with excellent local produce and even ingredients. The menu reflects our current climate and is shorter than it used to be. However having said that there is still a good choice catering for all dietry needs.
Portions are reasonable which means you will have room for dessert. These are a culinary picture and full of interesting flavours and ingredients.
On Sunday there is the traditional roast lunch. This is part of our Welsh tradition and so very popular. You should always book for this, as indeed at any time though Monday night can be a quiet time to visit.
