Royal Welsh Winter Festival
The showgrounds are a pleasant 45 minute drive from the Coach House to Builth Wells. This makes the Royal Welsh Winter Festival an ideal day out. This year represents its 30th year running the festival.
The Royal Welsh is most famous for it’s summer show where everything to do with the countryside and agriculture is on display and the event goes on for 4 days. However there are much smaller intimate shows put on during the rest of the year including this one. Normally held over two days towards the end of November on a Monday and Tuesday. It all takes place in the indoor arenas so there is no need to worry about the weather. Indeed in the evening the whole place is lit up and there is a fireworks display.
There are competitions and classes for livestock throughout the day for you to visit. The large covered halls are full of everything you could possibly want to buy for Christmas. On the Monday evening there is a free shopping late night shopping and the fireworks.
