Hills Brecon
If you are looking for a burger with a difference then you should visit Hills Brecon .
It is situated just outside Bishop’s Meadows on the outskirts of Brecon. Do not be put off by the approach as depending to the time of night it will fill with parked busses
It is a light airy place having had a big makeover from the old caravan park restaurant. They do like to play slightly loud music which I know a lot of people would not mind. You can choose to sit at the restaurant tables or in the bar area with smaller tables and frankly a bit quieter.
The Burger
They only use the best beef from a well known local supplier. You can choose from the monthly specials or build your own. There are a few other choices if you do not fancy a burger or prefer chicken to beef.
We went just before Christmas and had the beef wellington burger , the monthly special. Basically there was a small sliced steak under the burger cooked as you like with a rich wine jus to pour over. Add to that a side of sweet potato fries and you were in clover. Mind you the skin on skinny fries are just as good so why not have one of each to share.
Desserts
There is a small selection but will definately suit a sweet tooth.
Drinks
They have the usual selection of beers and soft drinks but also do a cocktail menu. Many feature local suppliers of items like gin and whiskey produced in the Brecon Beacons.
They even have a loyalty card so if you go often enough you will get a free one! Sadly the loyalty card is no longer available but you can join the birthday club instead. This entitles you a half price burger on your birthday.
